The Best Western Golden Pine Resort & Spa is set in a totally rural environment surrounded by rice field on all sides with a backdrop of the distant Himalayan Mountains. Guests can choose from a selection of 80 cottages which are designed to blend seamlessly with the environment. Each cottage has either a view of the rural landscape (rice fields and the Himalayas) or of the resort's beautiful gardens. A focal point of the resort is the very attractive swimming pool which has no equal in the north. The resort is a gateway to fascinating excursion trips such as the Golden Triangle (the Opium Museum is intensely interesting), the Mekong Region, the border towns such as Mae-Sai and much more..

A total of eighty self contained cottages are constructed in such a way a to blend seamlessly with the unspoilt Lanna countryside, each one having a front and rear veranda with a bench set. In the centre is an extremely attractive swimming pool complete with Jacuzzi and graced by a Mermaid in tireless attendance. The use of local timbers enhance the interior of each Cottage which consists of a bedroom, a separate en-suite bathroom, shower cubicle and W.C. Satellite TV and IDD telephones as well as a Mini Bar are provided to ensure convenience and entertainment for guests.
